City highlights walks
Every day there is a City highlights walk starting from the City of London Visitor Information Centre by St Paul's Cathedral.
From 1 April to 30 September the walk will start at 2pm (1400), from 1 October to 31 March at 11am (1100) except on Christmas day and Boxing day (25 and 26 December) when the Information Centre is closed.
All the walks will tell you about part of the City's history and show you some landmark buildings.
There are four different walks:
- Fleet Street and its alleyways - Mondays and Fridays
- Exploring the heart of the City - Thursdays and Sundays
- Smithfield - past and present - Tuesdays and Saturdays
- Discovering Wren Churches - Wednesdays
Each walk takes between one and a half to two hours to complete and will finish within twenty minutes walk of the Information Centre. The walks will start on time, so please do not be late as the walk may leave without you.
There is no need to book, just turn up and introduce yourself to the guide. The guide will be in front of the Information Centre and will be wearing his or her badge. The cost of the walk is £6 for each person, with a concessionary rate of £4. Children under twelve come on the walk with an adult are free.
At the end of the walk your guide will help you with directions to public transport or to your destination.
