Dr. Johnson walk
This walk produced in association with Dr. Johnson's House, lets you follow in the footsteps of Dr. Samuel Johnson, the writer, critic and lexicographer who dominated the London literary scene for much of the 18th century.
The walk explores the courts and alleys off Fleet Street and seeks out some of the places where Dr. Johnson resided and some of the people he knew. The tour starts and finishes at Dr. Johnson's House in Gough Square where Johnson compiled his famous Dictionary of the English Language.
This walk takes place on the first Wednesday of each month, at 3 p.m.
Meet inside the public entrance to Dr. Johnson's House, 17 Gough Square (off Fleet Street), London, EC4A 3DE at 3 p.m. No advance booking required. Walks will take place regardless of the weather. Adults: £4.00. Concessions: £3.00.
